A Very Happy and VERY Belated 4th!

We got our flag pole AND flag up! I wanted to post the pictures of it for the 4th of July, but because of complete disorganization on my end, you're getting it 4 days late! Rich is so proud of his flag pole (especially the fact that you can see it from Siper Rd)! While he sits and looks at it's splendor, I am busy trying to visualize and plan the landscaping around it. We've already purchased 2 trees to go next to it, and I think I know of one more that I'd like to get. I'm really pushing to get it done by Aug. 7 (my birthday fiesta!) but if you come over, and it's not done... don't be too surprised. Here are some of the pictures I took while we were setting it up and once we finally got the flag up. In case you were curious... it stands 44' tall with a 27" eagle on the top (which ended up facing the wrong direction. The pole was WAY too hard to move once it was up, so we just say he's facing DC... keeping an eye on them :-) The flag is 6X10 which I think fits perfectly on the pole, especially since Rich can't wait to add sports flags below it... I told him they could only be flying during that particular season, and Nascar ones can ONLY be flying on race day since Nascar goes for 9 months out of the year!
