Is this how it starts???

Is this how it happens??? Historically I've been a solid traditional girl... with no temptations to do anything different... and this year my mind has started filling with thoughts like...

• If it were just something up in storage I'd already have it done by now
• Brrr... it's way too cold outside
• It does make sense since I'm terrible at remembering to water
• Mmm... good sleep at night because there are no worries of fire

Seriously! My mind is trying to convince me to switch over to a fake Christmas tree!! I haven't been tricked into it yet... but I feel like it might be blindsiding me here real soon! Before you know it, I'll be saying things like, "Man, I really wish we had a fake tree." If you know me very well, you know that just writing that felt a little bit sinful! :-) How could I pass up the yummy fresh cut tree smell in our house??? (maybe by buying a wreath??) Or pass up the "tradition" of going out and cutting down the tree?? Ok this one actually has been ruined for about 4 years now. Rich is not a tree "hunter" like myself. He honestly thinks you should just cut down the first one that looks descent. Psh! Plus, if I recall correctly (and I do) last year, Rich conveniently got a phone call right as we found the perfect tree, so he held onto it while laid on the ground and cut the whole thing down! You have my permission to harrass him about that... what kind of husband lets their wife do the hard work while he stands chit chatting on his phone anyway?!?! Ok, I'm done ranting. Will I switch or will I stick to my roots, that is the question!
