And here is my flower bed by my mailbox all cleaned up with the trellis! I used to have 3 primroses there, but 2 died, so I'm on the search for 2 new ones (on the search means: I quickly walked through the Home Depot garden center once and didn't see any.) I'm also planning on moving those lillies when I have somewhere else to put them because they get too tall and hide the clematis.
I took this picture of the shop/house because I always like to see people's houses... so I thought you might feel the same about mine :-) Notice Cash being shy from the camera?? Also notice the fairlane is OUTSIDE! That's something that doesn't happen very often, so to have a picture of it is pretty amazing!
I don't remember if I mentioned in my blog yet that Rich and I are cutting the cable this month (when Lost is over :-) so in doing that, my goal is to keep my house cleaner, and try new things! I always think home made things are so great, so I hope to take a stab at a few things myself! Here is my first attempt at home made lemonade. The directions said to throw a cinnamon stick in the mix... and like I had one of those laying around... so I added a pinch of cinamon, which was too much! So my batch was good, but not one I'd share because of the overdose of cinamon! I will try again soon - minus the cinamon, and then maybe freeze it so I can pull it out when guests are over! (The great thing is, the recipe I have is just for the "syrup", so you add the water when you're ready to drink it, taking up much less room in the freezer!) My next venture is going to be home made refried beans (we surprisingly go through a lot!) I've heard the tatste is unbeatable, and it's about half the price of buying them canned from the grocery store!) Anyone have any good recipes they reccomend?

At first glance, did you think , yuck, why would Angela post a picture of SOMEONE (most likely Rich) in her house not doing a good job of flushing??? That's what I thought too, until it moved!! So here's the story... Saturday morning, well, every morning, one of the first things I do is get up and use the bathroom (I'm not one of those people that gets up in the middle of the night to go, so by morning, I'm usually in a hurry to get there!) Saturday morning... I lift up the lid, and as I'm going through my habitual process, I think, yuck Rich... learn how to flush, then the little mouse slipped and had to swim back to where he could stand up without drowning... and I thought I was going to have a heart attack, or throw up in the sink (as I would NEVER put my face that close to a mouse to use the toilet!) I screamed for Rich... and of course he came to the rescue! And only because I'm a blogger did I say... "wait, I gotta go get the camera!"

Words can't describe my reaction to that post Angela... you are a die hard blogger indeed!! :-) Thank goodness for Rich.
I don't think I would have been able to get the camera because I would have been having a true heart attack. This is my worst fear...finding a mouse. I'm wanting to throw up just reading about this mouse. GO RICH!!!!
I will email you my recipe for my Nana's (stepmom's mom--so you KNOW they are authentic!!) refried beans.
SO GOOD.
It takes about 3 days--one full day of soaking--but OH so good. And makes a TON--also freeze well.
You go girl - blogging first! I had the same kind of incident only it was in the bathtub - YUK!!
that is sooo funny!!! the fact that you can think so quickly to get your camera in such an aweful surprised moment! I would have freaked yelled for Dave and left the room LOL :)
