Painting, CHECK!

I finished painting our living room Saturday night, just in time to host Mother's Day at our house on Sunday! If you haven't gotten to hear about my issues, or put in your thoughts, I'll fill you in! Rich's favorite color is grey, mine is brown. Anyone see the issue?? When Rich built our apartment, he installed grey kitchen cabinets and all grey doors. For a while, I was struggling with wall colors that would match the grey, but also warm up the room, and I didn't really want to do red/maroon. Well, thanks to my decorating "go to gal" Dena, I have now embraced the idea that with the right color combinations, brown and grey will work together! So, step one: painting, is complete! Let me know what you think of my color choices!
All the walls used to be white, actually "Corona" which was a blue/white. You can really see how blue they were with this strip of a more creamy white painted through the middle of it. Honestly, it's not yellow, when you see it on it's own, it looks like white paint! So my ceilings are officially white now! (I was able to convince Rich that this was the white the ceiling was supposed to be when it perfectly matched our can trims!) This is the completed ceiling, and the partially completed kitchen. Most of the walls are this "khaki" color. Rich and I love how well the stainless looks next to this color! (Make sure not to look at any of the mess in this picture, only the paint!)This picture does NOT do our "paramount" color justice!!! It looks green here, but it is not! It's a very dark blue/grey slate color. This picture shows the color a little better, but still isn't great. I guess you'll have to stop by and see it in person to really judge how it looks!Step 2: creamy colored area rug (I know, I know, I've been told we're crazy, but I don't care!)
Step 3: chocolate brown leather couch!

You must not be planning on moving walls anytime soon :-)! Isn't it amazing how a little paint changes a room completely - love it!!!
