It's official! Rich and I have cut the cable at our house! Technically it was Direct TV, but cable sounded better. Why would we want to do that you ask?? Here are the top 10 reasons the Strotz's decided to cut the cable!:
1. A savings of nearly $60.00/month
2. More time for reading books
3. Hopefully less attention on the tv means more time spent cleaning the house
4. More time spent outside instead of in front of the tv
5. Less anxiety over "What will happen next week on... (insert favorite reality TV show here)
6. That extra time outside can be spent weeding my garden and keeping it manageable
7. More time outside means more quality time with our little Cashous
8. Living room minus huge TV equals more sitting room for guests
9. Absolutely no constructive conversations (arguments) over WHAT to watch on TV
10. Did I mention the money we'll be saving???
And so you know how NOT easy this is going to be for me... here are the top 10 things I will miss:
1. Fox News
2. Lost
3. Survivor
4. Desperate Housewives... I mean... ??? wait, how'd that make the list, I don't watch that show?!?!
5. So You Think You Can Dance
6. Project Runway
7. The Bachelor... hmm... another weird one that made the list that I'll never admit to watching!
8. 90's on 9 (my favorite satelite radio station)
9. 90210 (yes, I love soaking in the high school drama!)
10. The occasional Little People Big World, John and Kate Plus 8, Oprah (rarity, honestly!)
We've been planning this for about a month now, so I've been preparing... and if it's not already obvious, the reason this finally took place today was based on the finale of #2 and #3. Let's all give a shout out to my personal fave since the beginning, JT! Although... is it bad to admit that I thought he was cuter all roughed up and dirty??
That's all for now... come back later (like hopefully tomorrow) for a few pics of a fun weekend in McCleary!
