Yes, I've done it again! For the 3rd time this week, I've set aside time at work to post to my blog, only to realize some part of my camera had been left at home. Ok, ok, so the first two days it was the whole camera. Today I have the camera, but don't have the cord to connect it to my computer :-(. I've decided to give you a verbal only update on the happenings at our house... and leave you in anticipation for the pictures to come!
Well, we got our patio poured and it looks great! It has been put to such good use with all these nice days! I've been able to read my bible outside in the morning sun every day this week (except today because I finally decided I HAD to wear shorts, but then I'm cold in the morning) Rich and I have also been eating dinner out there! No table, but half the time we sit and eat dinner on the couch anyway! I think I have all the flowers that I'm going to get this year, other than maybe some shrubs when we get the flag pole up, and I must say, our place is looking better than I've ever seen it! Ok, don't do a driveby to see for yourself, things are still very "taken apart" and not put back together yet, but my imagination says that by the time it is all back together, it'll be looking better than it ever has! It's amazing how much that patio makes our house look more like a home than a shop! I'm just so excited to watch it continue to transform into a cozy little house!
I ordered a 27" eagle finial (I think that's the official name!?!?) for the top of our flag pole! The scheduled arrival date is this Friday, which is also the day we're getting the pole welded together, so it's my hope that the flag pole should be up and standing strong on Saturday! Hmm... I guess I should start thinking about getting a flag for it!!!
As for the tv-less family update... we're surviving. I'll be honest... I've been watching So You Think You Can Dance online at work... It's by far my favorite summer show, and I just don't know if I could survive without it. Other than that, we've done a little movie watching, but for the most part, we haven't felt like we've had much extra time for watching tv if we did have it! I would have made time to watch O'Reilly report on the Tiller murder, but I think I might already know him well enough to know what he would have said. Did any of you see it?? Anything surprise you in what he had to say??
In other news... that baby we were waiting for finally arrived! My cousins, Josh and Dena, welcomed their 4th little one into the world on May 28. Her name is Ellie and from what it sounds like, she had a very speedy arrival! Well, the 2 weeks of contractions weren't speedy, but when she finally decided she wanted out, she wanted OUT!! I'll post a link when Dena gets pics of her on her blog.
I think that's all from the Strotz household for now! I'm going to do my very best to find that dang camera cord so you'll have fun pictures to look at tomorrow! Until then... enjoy this little video I took of Cash in the back of the truck. By the way, DO NOT tell Rich that I recorded Cash in my side mirror while driving 45 mph down Siper Rd! Something tells me he would not be impressed!

O'Reilly's reporting was that it was a tragedy that he was killed, and the shooter is the one responsible (not O'Reilly as some other news agencies have implied.) He has also said that for those mourning his tragic life lost, they should also think about the 60,000 lives he aborted (I'm paraphrasing here, cut me some typing slack!)
Perfect paraphrasing! I love that... he's always so spot on with how I feel about the situation!
