Hi folks!

I know what you're thinking, it's time for me to get back to blogging! So I present to you a post of random things to catch me up to today! And they are in no particular order since I haven't figured out how to download the pictures in the order I want them yet :-). I also haven't tried... which may help the situation.

Saturday Rich and I went to Vancouver for the Canuck's game (Rich is a closet hockey fan). On our way up we had to stop of course at IKEA! What's a trip to Vancouver without that stop?? A waste of a trip in my book! While we were there I found this awesome frame for our living room. (I wanted something light for the dark wall, and preferably something to bring the maple from the rest of the room over to this wall.) Rich says I can't just put any old picture in there, it has to be a picture taken by one of us... so I plan on this frame sitting here like this for a while... but I have a few ideas of possible pictures to take!
I think I also mentioned earlier that Rich had gotten me a bookshelf for Christmas?? Well here it is! Doesn't it look great!?!? Since I got that new picture frame, I took my Goodwill Rock picture and put it on top of the bookshelf, and I like it there! I 'shopped' the rest of my house for a few other things and walah! FYI - the shelf with all the red is designated a "decoration shelf". It's just temporarily holding the Bible study books until the girls take them home tonight. I also have a system... the top right shelf is Rich and I's 'to read' shelf and the middle left shelf is our 'we've read, and they're awesome' shelf. So, if you come over, check out that shelf and borrow away!!
I took this because the picture above didn't really show you how cute the bookshelf is. Here is a sideview.
Back to Saturday... our seats were 4 rows from the top... and higher is cooler/better right?? If you think of it like golf... they really were great seats! To be honest, they actually weren't bad, plus they were playing the defending champs, the Pittsburg Pengiuns (yes, everyone say ughh.. Pittsburg!) and the Canucks kicked butt! 6 to 2! In hockey, that is kicking butt! It was fun for Rich to get to see Sidney Crosby play in person (he's one of the top players in the league at a ripe old age of 22!) Plus being at a Canucks game in person is quite fun! I gained a new appreciation for the game, the skill those guys, including the refs, have on ice is amazing!!

Before the game, we were planning on going to the Capilano suspension bridge, but upon finding out it would be over $60 for the two of us... we decided on the free Capilano Park up the road instead. Here is Rich being silly.

...and here is Rich proving his self portrait skills

I also wanted to share this... my December craft and favorite Christmas present that I gave this year! I got the idea from a friend's blog, who found the pattern on http://shannonmakesstuff.blogspot.com/ It's an advent calendar made out of felt. I made this one just like the pattern, but someday when I make one for my own children, I think I'll be brave like Debbie and give it my own style!

Each ornament has the number on the front, and the picture on the back, and has a little pocket in the middle for the candy! I super enjoyed my time making it and hope that the Dunn's enjoy taking it out and using it each December just as much!
