Christmas Part 2

Christmas Eve morning Rich and I woke up and did our little Christmas together. He had gotten me a bookshelf that I'd been eyeing (which looks fantastic and gets the stack of books off the floor!) and I had ordered his new jeep windows for him, and had actually been able to keep it a secret! When I brought them home the day before, I looked all over for a hiding spot that I could be sure he wouldn't find... and finally discovered they fit perfectly under the couch! Just when he thought there were no presents left... I was able to say, "Oh wait, I actually do have one more..." and they were right within my reach!
That evening we went to the Christmas Eve service at church, my all time favorite of the year! Then we headed over to Grandma Strotz's for the traditional potato soup!
Kari and I opening our gifts at the same time since they were the same, and Rich snuck in the background with Grandpa Matt's new flask.
Christmas morning we arrived ON TIME (apparently we're late every year?!?!) to Rich's parents. We opened gifts and drank hot cocoa and then had to go outside for some family pics. We tried to get a picture of us all jumping, but that's not so easy to do with the timer on. Rich likes this shot because he thinks he looks like a super hero, and yes, he's wearing his new Harley Davidson flag as a cape.

Comfy cozy in our PJs as the sun is rising...

After gifts we quick ran home to get changed and cleaned up, then off to Grandpa and Grandma TenKley's for Christmas morning brunch. Since they've been in their new house this tradition has started of getting a group pic in front of the fireplace.

After brunch we headed back over to Dad and Moms to open our stockings and Kari and I got yet another same gift (although mine is always pink, and hers is always NOT :)

Christmas night we watched a couple of movies and played a good round of Settlers of Catan. Christmas was great this year because as the night came to an end... Rich and I still had 2 full days of vacation to look forward to!
Also, I didn't get this great pic posted with Christmas Part 1. This is my cousin Tyler and I modeling how well a Snuggie works for playing with legos. Apparently these things were the hot item this Christmas, I've heard of a lot of people who now have them!
