For Halloween the plan was to spend the evening with friends at a low key get together. Low key, and being there were only going to be a few couples, to me meant no costumes. BUT... I was wrong. About an hour before we were going to be headed that way, I got a text that said something like, make sure to show up in your costume! Seriously?? I love doing the costume thing... but I'm the kind of girl who spends a month planning my costume. Last year I was a Care Bear (sooo sad I don't have pictures :-( ) I found some hideous light blue sweats and a long sleeve shirt in the exact same color, painted a white circle on my stomach, glued one of those touch night lights from the dollar tree to it, ripped apart a couple pairs of light blue ear muffs for the ears and tail, and wala! A Care Bear! This year, with one hour of planning... that did NOT happen. I ended up wearing my old TGI Friday's uniform. Seriously? A cute waitress? Not my idea of a costume! But it's all I had. Needless to say, there are no pictures of me, my costume wasn't worthy. I did on the other hand, get Rich put together pretty well!
Here he is as Harry Caray!

If you don't know who Harry Caray is... you must go here to see... if not to see how well we did with the costume, at least to get a good laugh. I have to thank Dad (Rick) for actually having that jacket and tie in his closet still... and should also point out that's Rich's actual hair, with baby powder in it.
