Adventures of Baxter Strotz

I love adding our last name to our bird's name. Haha... my girlfriend Kim had to call the vet once about her goat, yes goat (actually more than once, I just happen to be there this time) and I remember her saying, "yea, his name is Ottis McGee." It made me laugh so hard! I just can't resist doing it to my own pets! So, here is our adventure the other night, starring Baxter Strotz.

Sidenote: I totally need some lessons in photo editing, or maybe just a program?? Whatever I had would not let me lighten the pictures. Also, I had drawn circles around the subject (Baxter) so you didn't have to play Where's Waldo with each picture, but when I saved them, it disapeared! Ok, on with the story

Here you'll find Baxter just a bit to the right of the center of the picture. Yes, he is flying free in the shop. No, he was not supposed to be. In the 45 seconds I had the shop door open, talking to Rich, he flew out there. Luckily Rich was able to run and shut the garage door before he flew outside! Something you should know about Baxter... he does not respond to "come". He also likes to land on the trusses, and stay there. So, here he is flying around, looking for somewhere spectacular to land, out of our reach.
After landing on one truss, and Rich throwing a ball at, I mean "near", him, he flew here...
ahh... much more reachable... but then he flew here... hard to see I know, but this is Rich, holding a broom up, and he is just to the right of the broom. From here Rich decided to just make him keep flying until he was too tired to go "up" and would eventually land somewhere within reach.
It turned out to be a good plan... Once Rich got him on his finger, he was too tired to fly anywhere else. So... that was our 15 minutes of adventure! I would say, "never a dull moment", but that would be a lie, we definitely have dull moments too!

Baxter needs a friend - and we have one for him. HER name is "tweety" korthuis. I'm sure they would be very happy together.
