While my sister and I were at our cousin's house in McCleary a couple of weeks ago, I insisted that we go to the Olympia Goodwill! Dena raves about their Goodwill, and I have never had much success there, so I thought I better go see if Olympia's really was better than Bellingham! I came to realize that whether it is or not, it's all about going into the store with a very open imagination! Look what I came out with... While we were there, Dena asked me what my decorating style is... I said, "I really like the organic stuff... you know, rocks, sticks, stuff like that." I thought it sounded silly, but then I found this picture for $1.99!! I absolutely love it on our dark wall. I'm now looking for something to add to it... I originally thought I'd frame it, but now I'm thinking I'd rather add some little maple cube shelves on each side of it. (We have lots of maple on the other walls, so bringing it to this dark wall would really pull the room together I think!) I've also had my eye out for a wine rack... and found this one that fits perfectly on top of my fridge (which is really the only place I had room) for $3.99! Yay! I think I might be hooked now... you really can find some great treasures at the Goodwill! I should also mention that along with my $5.98 worth of decor, I also found a couple really cute shirts that I couldn't pass up!
