Palaminos

Saturday night was a bachelorette party for my friend Jamie. Oh, and Rich of course was at the bachelor party for her fiance Connor, but I don't have any stories from that! Jamie grew up in Kirkland so the bachelorette party was down in Seattle. Kim and I headed down to Seattle early to have lunch with her aunt who lives near Alki beach. If you've never visited Alki beach, it's so worth it! Apparently it's one of only two sand beaches in Seattle. From her condo we were able to walk just a couple of blocks to the beach and eat lunch at a little restaurant right on the strip.
After lunch we headed to meet up with Jamie and the rest of her friends at the Hyatt Olive 8 (apparently just built and such a nice hotel!) We chit chatted and met some of the other girls while everyone got ready, and then headed to Palalminos for dinner. I don't know Seattle well, so I don't know if that's supposed to be a fancy/yummy place or not... all I know is my $9.00 ceasar salad wasn't worth $9.00 and the girl who was sitting next to me said her $29 lobster ravioli wasn't all that amazing either. Good food or not though, it was fun having dinner with a bunch of girls, all dressed up in downtown Seattle! Here are a few pics from dinner.

After dinner we headed back to the Hyatt for Jamie to open her gifts and all the other girls got ready to head out to the clubs.
with the bachelorette! This is where Kim and I bowed out and headed home to pick up our husbands. :-) There is something NOT fun to us about clubbing in Seattle. Not sure if it's that we're so not cool enough to know the music they play, it's no fun to go to clubs without the mission of scoping out men, or that you're forced to be rude to the sleazy guys who approach you and don't want to take no for an answer, but we decided it is SO not the scene for us! Plus, heading home meant getting to sleep in my own bed, next to my husband, and getting to go to church in the morning!
