Rich has a thing for palm trees, so I bought these hardy palms (supposed to live outside through our winters) but they need to spend the first couple/few years of their lives indoors in more moderate temperatures. They've spent the summer outside in the shade, but since fall is definitely upon us, I needed something cute to plant them in so they could be in the house. I found the super cute mugs at Big Lots (awesomte store, deserves a post of its own) for $2.00 each! They go great in my kitchen window above the sink, and the palms will love all the light they get to soak in there! I enjoy looking at them every time I'm in the kitchen!

Cuteness!
As much as I'm not a fan of our 'not even close to my standards' decorating in our house, I love being able to add one small thing at a time and cherish that thing for the next few weeks every time I look at it! So, here's my latest very affordable addition...

You leave them there long enough and it will feel like you're doing KP duty in Hawaii :-)!
