Vacation - Day 3 part 1

I know all you blogging junkies having been sitting on the edge of your seats, waiting for my next vacation post, and for that I apologize, since I've made you do it for over a week! Isn't suspense great though!?! So here goes with the start of day 3. Oh, and to get you over the long wait, I now have twice as many pictures to show off because my sister gave me her cd of vacation pics last night!
My brother and Matt's best man, Aaron, got to our hotel around 10pm on Friday night, so Rich and I had a couple drinks with them while they ate dinner at a pub down the road. I really forget how thankful I am that people aren't allowed to smoke in restaurants here until I go somewhere else!! It was terrible... I felt like every breath was shortening my life! Anyway, that was a side rant :-). The rest of the crew got there around 11:30 and needed to eat as well... so we joined them at IHOP and settled for some dessert.
I had signed us up for the 12:00 bus on Saturday to take us to the port. Sidenote: if you go on a cruise out of Miami, The Days Inn Miami North was the ONLY hotel that we found that had a free shuttle to and from the airport AND to and from the port, which was extremely convenient! When the 11:00 bus left the hotel at 11:30, we figured we had a while to sit around... here is pictures of Matt, trying to make time pass. At 12:15 I got a call from the front desk, letting us know that our bus had already left. WHAT?!?!? Being the good man Rich is, he went to the front desk to straighten things out, and within 20 minutes, they had a new bus there for us! Now that I think of it, I wonder what Rich said?!?!
I think we boarded the boat around 1pm. I was amazed at the efficiency of the cruiseline to take our luggage, get our info, and get us on the boat as quick as they did. The first thing we did when we got on was find some food!! My favorite lunch item was the salad because they have EVERYTHING you can think of to put on it. Then of course we went on a little self guided tour. Rich kept disapearing on me, and at one point, I was looking all over for him... and this is where I finally spotted him... I think we headed to the deck around 3 so we could watch us leave port at 4. Enjoy the pics of our first day on the ship The bride and groom... Rob, Jalani, and Rich relaxing Splurging on our first daily special... and my last :-)Tami and I out dancing Tami still dancing it up...
