HOME!

Rich and I are home and safe, and even flu-less! (that word was possibly made up) About half of the people we traveled with got it! I just spoke with my sister, and she said the doctor won't see her until she's had it for 14 days because apparently everyone else has it too! We made it home LATE Tuesday night, no, I take that back EARLY Wednesday morning, so we stayed home from work Wednesday and got all the laundry done and bags unpacked. We had a fantastic time! A whole week with family and no serious drama! Can you believe it?? Rich and I decided we probably would not choose to do a cruise again, unless a bunch of people were going and could talk us into it. I was sea sick the first 2 days, anyone surprised?? I should have known based on how I felt when we went out in Randy and Jan's boat. I started popping pills as soon as I started feeling icky, but here's the thing that would have been nice to know before we got on the boat! Apparently those motion sickness drugs work best if you start taking them while you're on solid ground! Which is true I guess, because as soon as I was able to take a few doses while we were on the islands, I didn't have any problem. So the basic run down of the trip... San Juan, Puerto Rico... probably will never go there again, St. Thomas... will definitely go there again, we would like to just fly there and spend a week. That's where the wedding was and it was BEAUTIFUL!!! St. Maarten... it was pretty cool, we could probably be talked into going back, Miami - South Beach... cool to check out once, but will likely never go back... we felt like we were smack dab in the middle of a rap video most of the time and the prices were outrageous!!! I'm just leaving you with 1 sneak peak picture for now. I promise there are MANY more to come, but right now I have STACKS of paperwork on my desk. Also, great news! My life is looking dramatically less busy over the next couple of months so I should have more time to blog!!

So glad to see you're still in the blogging world!!! Yup- should've told you to start taking pills before you stepped on the cruise! Also, you were fine on R&J's boat until the engine crashed and we had to be towed home - that almost got me too - swaying back and forth! We need to giver 'er another try!!
