I had my 37 week appointment today and there has been no progress since last week. Still dilated to a 1, still 50-70% effaced, I'm still small, baby is still perfect... and we wait :).
The great thing is, I made it to 37 weeks which means I'm full term. Basically that just means that if Baby Girl were born right now, she wouldn't be considered a preemie. She SHOULD be just as healthy as a baby born at 40 weeks, but a little extra bakin' in the oven never hurt anyone!
I went to the appointment wanting to hear that I was dilated to a 2 or fully effaced (only because I've been having so much more cramping, I wanted the cramping to actually be purposeful!) so of course I was a little disappointed, but as I think about it, I'm thankful! Even though I still technically could go into labor at any moment, I feel like this gives me another couple of weeks to get things done. Plus, I have a fairly busy schedule through the 20th... so I'd love for her to wait until then. :) Until next week... (unless something exciting happens between then and now)
