Rain! Hallelujah!
This blog might seem like one big complaint, but seriously, give me a break, I'm posting aren't I?? As I type... I'm hot and sweating, two minutes ago I was shivering. Anyone have a diagnosis? Yeah, I think I've got that fall flu that seems to be going around terribly. You might rightfully be thinking, then why are you posting, don't you only post from work? Yes! I'm at work, only until I finish this post, then I'm going home! Why am I even here your wondering? I will explain by saying, there is only one thing worse than not having cable at home. Not having cable when you're sick!! I stayed home from work yesterday and seriously sat there all day thinking about how crappy I was feeling. No tv to distract me! Yes, we have movies, but I've seen them all far too many times for them to successfully distract me. If I'm stuck home one more day, I may be sending Rich to each of your houses to collect a new movie selection for me! As for the title of my post. I'm not typically one to get excited about rain. I love it the first few times we have a rainy blustery day in fall, and then I get sick of it. This year is different, the more the merrier in our home!! Are you thinking that flu has messed with my mind now? Possibly... but the real reason we want rain is because we're hoping that we'll have a fresh new supply of water for our well to drink up! That's right, either something is wrong with our well, or our water supply is so low there's nothing good left down there. When I run the water even for the 45 or so seconds to brush my teeth, there is a nasty rust sediment leftover in the sink. We've not been able to take showers at home for over a week now (would you want to take a shower in orange rusty water??) Now, as if going to the firehall everyday to take showers (Rich, not me, I can go at least a couple of days!) wasn't enough, the filter for our washing machine got so clogged that it won't fill up with water anymore. As soon as I get over this flu I'll be making dates with people to come hang out and use your laundry facilities! And maybe shower while I'm there! So now I'm hoping you can understand my joy for rain, and you'll be hoping for more of it with us! Also, PLEASE be praying that the low water level is the problem! Something being wrong with the well sounds much more expensive!
