Becoming Independant!
I have some great news!!! Cash finally gained the courage to jump into the back of the ranger on his own! For all of you that are thinking, wow, that great news was a let down, you haven't seen me trying to pick up my full size dog and help him into the back of our truck!!! If you had, you would have laughed, but you'd also be excited for me now! So here's the story... Rich came running into the house on Sunday saying, "Angela, come here!! Quick Quick!!" Freaked out that something was wrong, I ran outside, then Rich informed me, "Cash jumped in the back of the truck!" (My excitement enabled me to contain my annoyance that Rich had me get outside so quick) So there Cash was, sitting in the back of Rich's truck, so proud of himself. We had him jump in and out a few times just to make sure he wasn't going to wuss out again, and gave him all kinds of praise and treats when he jumped in! Sunday night, we had to make sure it wasn't a fluke, so we had him jump in one more time, which he did with no hesitation! When it was time for him to go in his crate for the night, Rich said, "Cash, crate" (like we always do) and instead of going in his crate, he jumped in the back of the truck again! He did this a few times and it was so funny! Rich and I just kept laughing and laughing. We finally got him in his crate, and as I was walking into the house, I heard Rich saying to him... "Good crate... I'm sorry for laughing at you." That is of course my favorite part of this story... but do me a favor and DO NOT tell Rich I told that part!!!
