I had a very quick paced start to my week. Mandi won VIP tickets to the Dr. Phil show, so of course, we couldn't pass that up! I came into work on Monday at 6:30am so I could get payroll done (for some reason the guys don't like to wait for me to get back to the office for their paychecks :-) and we flew out of Bellingham a little after 9:00 and arrived in L.A. around 2:00. We of course had to go to our FAVORITE shopping spot in downtown L.A. so we went straight there from the airport. If anyone else is into CHEAP stuff, knockoffs, and don't mind it being a little on the ghetto side, you've got to go to Santee Alley! It is literally an alley in the fashion district full of stores that sell shirts for $10, sunglasses for $5, tons of shoes, knockoff purses and they don't charge sales tax! (totally illegal, I know) Anyway, 2 shirts, a purse, sunglasses and some luggage later, we left there and went to our hotel. We went to bed early because we were to be at the Dr. Phil show at 8 the next morning. Since we were VIP guests, we got to park inside Paramount studios and walk through it to get to Dr. Phil's stage. That was my favorite part of the adventure! I thought the Dr. Phil show was pretty boring. It was about Cyber Bullying, but we did get a free book! Jay McGraws something something about bullying. (not on the top of my "to read" list). It was very interesting to see how it was all done. I'm excited to watch the show just to see what they edit out and what they leave in. I was in the 3rd row (right behind all the people that were actually ON the show, so I just might make it on TV!) The show will air October 28th so tune in!
My overall thoughts on the show...
- Dr. Phil was NOT personable like I thought he'd be.
- He and Robin are both MUCH older than they appear.
- Robin is prettier on TV than in real life.
- The TV really does add 10 pounds. (in their case, pounds that make them appear healthier than they do in real life)
That's all for now... I'm totally lame and didn't take ANY pictures while I was there... sorry :-(
Oh ya, we made it back home by 6:30pm yesterday, so like I said, it was a very quick trip!

Wow! Can't wait to hear all about it!. I need more details. Guess it will have to wait a few weeks, but I'll be asking at our next Christ Group!
Sorry, that last comment was from me!
