I have decided I'm in my favorite stage of pregnancy thus far. I'm 34 weeks, 1 week shy of 8 months, and loving it! Here are the perks:
I actually LOOK pregnant now!
I feel great! (ok, I have acid reflux, a fair amount of cramping, and an achy back, but I can't complain about everything!)
I'm loving the moves that baby girl makes now! (They're not the obnoxious moves that used to make me feel a little queezy, they're nice little punches/kicks/stretches by a bony little girl who likes to remind me she's in there!)
I even feel good about getting up to go potty at night. Someone once told me that getting up to pee is God's way of preparing moms to be up during the night when the baby arrives, so every time I get up, I just feel so thankful to a God who set our bodies up to prepare us for everything! Honestly, I usually walk back to my bed after going potty with a smile on my face. (Definitely not smiling on the way to the bathroom because the pressure on the bladder is PAINFUL, but as soon as there is relief, I can smile!
Anyway, someday (as in like 2 weeks) I might want to remind myself that the pregnancy hasn't always been dreadfully uncomfortable, so that's why I'm taking this little opportunity to write down my feelings and thoughts :).
If I don't see/talk to you before, I wish you all a very merry Christmas! Let it be a day focused on the celebration of our savior's birth!
