20 weeks

Today we had our 20 week ultrasound! We did find out what it is... but we didn't. The doc knows, and we have in our possession a sealed envelope with the gender, but we both decided it would be more intimate to find out just the two of us. In complete honesty, I don't have a preference either way, so either way I'll be excited tonight when we find out! But, I'm also expecting to see a little 3 letter word written down, yep, BOY. Maybe everyone who has told me they just KNOW it's a boy has done a good job convincing me! Rich won't get home until after 6 tonight, so wish me patience!

As for the ultrasound, it went fantastic! Baby Strotz is definitely more athletic than Rich and I combined! It was all over the place during the ultrasound, which was cause for some blurry pictures, but also many different positions to show off body parts. The ultrasound tech told me that with that kind of activity level... my 3rd trimester should be "fun". I'm not sure if she meant that yes, it would be fun because I'd get to feel it all the time, or it wouldn't be fun because there would be too much movement, and I didn't ask :). It was fun though during the ultrasound to see and feel the baby punching at the exact same time. For how strong they are, I thought for sure I was getting kicked, but the u/s revealed the baby likes to use me as a punching bag. All in all, doc said everything she saw looked fantastically healthy and baby is weighing in at an amazing 12 oz! When looking at me, it's quite hard to believe there's something the size/weight of a pop can living in that tiny space, but apparently it's true!

Gender details to come!!
